16 flat might be a stretch for most, but 16:XX is possible.
Summer training: run more miles. Look up Summer of Malmo.

Yes, especially if you are held back in your sophomore year due to poor spelling and grammar.

Yes, with my Summer of J.S it`s possible, actually there is an American HS kid in my coaching right now that seem to go from high 17 to sub 16 in a couple of months.

Well.......it`s possible by concentrate the runners every session with the best individual pace,
not too fast and not too slow, just perfect pace . Sounds easy, and it really is, if you know how to
perform it in a smart way. Keep it simple!
