That's you.
I support a name like 'The Indians' if they change.
And for you, well.. you know! ?

Change the logo to a potato playing football. Problem solved.
The moniker for the NFL team in Washington, DC will change at some point, guaranteed. If the NBA team formerly known as the Washington Bullets changed their moniker to the Wizards, then it is a foregone conclusion that the team owned by Daniel Snyder will change their name

How could anyone be offended by something that harmless? It's stupid.
See this page, see that white, we don't look anything like that so I'm offended, hahaha!!!!!
What does offend me is those who can't figure nobody gives a damn about anything you protest you stand for your national anthem. Do a protest some other time.
So the guy who flies into a violent rage because a local radio station is called "the chuck" is convinced that a football team should be called "the Redskins."
Dunning-kruger
I used to live in the DC area & had to put up with Redskins fans. This was during the original Joe Gibbs era . Anyway, they will have to change their fight song too. The first verse goes like:
Hail, to the Redskins
Hail, Victory
Braves, on the Warpath
Fight! For old, D.C!
Ppl who want to erase Indian sports mascots have these things in common:
* Hate football
* White
* Wormy liberals
* Hate Native Americans (because they h8 all Americans)

Yeah, that word has been offensive to us forever.

Nothing wrong with the " Chuck" Radio Station .
I see the federal government is going to become involved. Take a vote:
Admit Indians in full regalia free for a season, if they dance at half-time to change the name. The team cheerleaders should dance to keep the name. Whichever side gets the loudest cheer wins.
Do it over the season. At the end change the name, or not.
A non-offensive name that’s more reflective of modern sensitivities would be to call them the American Thinskins.
Does it pass the say-it-to-their-face test?
Would you call a Native American a redsk*n to their face?
If yes, you deserve to get punched in the face.
If no, good job, you just might be a decent person.
William Orland Kilmer, Jr. wouldn't approve of a name change at this time or anytime in the future.
No relations to the Fake Hingle McCringleberry

I like it. I also like the DC Swamp.
They have to change their fight song anyway.
Not much victory since Snyder became the owner.

I think in this case “offensive” and “rude” are synonymous. I think everyone would consider it rude, at least somewhat uncouth, so be referenced to as *insert color* skin. I know if I’m in public and a stranger wants to get my attention I wouldn’t want them calling me “white skin”.
At first the term redskin was used to differentiate between European settlers and Native Americans, but around the mid 1800s the usage of the word became more aggressive and disparaging. Knowing the European history with Native Americans (trail of tears, territorial expansion, Indian wars, etc.) show us that Natives were treated poorly in the past, and the state of reservations today show us how Natives are treated poorly now. The word redskin comes off as rude and intrusive. I would imagine if you say a Native American person and called them a redskin, they wouldn’t like it. Maybe next time you see one ask them if they think it’s offensive.
Obviously the word in itself as a football teams name isn’t doing any harm, but just look at the discussion on this thread. Discussing if redskin is offensive. I can easily see little kids picking up on the Washington Redskins referring to native Americans, and if they have a kid in their school classes with Native ancestry making fun of them.
Doesn't offend me at all. Liberals need to find something to be enraged about.
