I don't think Gwen. Her heart's set on the marathon. After the 10k next year she'll be much better prepared to train for the marathon which Jerry/Nike understood when they signed her on. I presume she will get a contract extension through 2024 so as to give Paris an all-out & last chance effort.
Emily, likely still young enough to continue thru 2024. She's missed so much time due to injury she doesn't have the miles in her legs as many other 30-year-old pros do. And, from what I've read over the years, she is a very valued member of the team so I doubt Nike wouldn't just cast her aside if she doesn't qualify in the 10k next year.
Kate . . . maybe. She occasionally makes remarks on social media that imply she and Jerry don't always see eye-to-eye on her training. Especially on racing a 5k -- even CQ has now done that. She may still believe she has something left for an 800 which is clearly not this squad's bread-and-butter.
Really hope she learns to fall in love with the training they do and gives the 1500 her full attention from now on .. . but, she's kind of a hard read at this point.
One athlete who's shelf life may have expired is Andy Bumbalough. He appears to be through with track yet hasn't had a big breakthrough in the marathon. However, at age 33 he still has years left i the marathon if he chooses and Nike continues to support him.
Sinclaire Johnson will be coming in as an 800/1500 specialist who has never run a track 5k and has a 9:10/3k pr from indoors last year. Kind of a Kate Grace v2 but w/o an Olympic resume. She's in for an adjustment.
