People on this forum said I didn't have one and it was all in my head, but when I got a MRI, the doctor said I had a stress fracture in both legs. In addition, after the third week of summer training, my legs were in complete pain when I tried to run. After a week or two of rest, their was a sharp pain going through my foot when I was walking. I only ran 20 MPW for 3 weeks, but prior to that, I was sedentary. I was 17 at the time of injury. Did I really have a stress fracture?
If this isn't a troll, and your account isn't a massive troll:
Why on earth would you believe most of the stuff people say on here first, and second hold that in any regard compared to your doctor's opinion AND an MRI scan? Maybe you have low bone density (in lower spine, legs) and that's how you got injured. Maybe poor biomechanics. Trust the people in your real life and modern medicine.
Probably the best way to treat it is cross-training, not only aerobically but with strength exercises to supplement the other weak muscles that caused it.
To be 100% clear I'm talking out of my a** here and don't really know how stress fractures work but that seems to be the way to treat most running injuries. TALK TO A REAL DOCTOR (and if you can't right now, just don't hurt yourself).
