Is it possible for a completely sedentary teenager to run a sub 5:30 minute mile after 2 months of training if they have average talent?

HE JUST SAID SO. Please. You are the most annoying person on this forum. You are either really insecure or a troll.

You said average talent, not little talent.
Yes, it is possible.
If you spent more time running and less asking redundant questions that don't matter on here, you'd get a lot faster
First of all, you are incredibly annoying. Please go away.
To answer the question, yes it is possible. However, I think that it is highly unlikely. Most people answering “yes,” here are not giving enough appreciation to the “sedentary” part of the question. Kids from even 10 years ago were not sedentary like kids today. These other people are thinking of kids they’ve observed who weren’t very athletic and didn’t play on varsity teams, but those kids still weren’t actually sedentary. They ran around the neighborhood playing tag, wiffle ball, touch football, riding bikes, etc.
Pretty much EVERYONE can run a 5:30 mile after 2 months regardless of talent. I have never had a runner NOT run faster than 5:30 their first season. EVER. I mean ALL kids run that fast, even as freshman. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

I'm pretty sure that your notion is wrong. I get what you are saying, but I don't think that you get what you are saying.
You are saying that EVERY SINGLE ONE of the kids that have self-selected themselves to be runners, went out for your team, and attended practice/training regularly has run a sub-5:30 mile within two months of beginning training.
I would not be surprised if NOT A SINGLE ONE of those kids that self-selected themselves to be a runner was sedentary before going out for your team.
No, is the simple answer.
Unless they are already running a 19 or 20 minute 5k then no they don't have the aerobic endurance.

lol.
10% of kids could run a 5:30 mile on 2 months of training. And for the idiot who said that every kid on his team does it, he is a liar. Have him put the throwers and jumpers and sprinters out there. They are athletes, not average people and the can't do it. We had 72 guys on our XC team last year. About 25 broke 5:30 at the end of the season.
Have you been to a HS track meet?
