400 LB bench press equivalent for 1 rep at 6'0 and 215. Natural. No steroids ever.
The math on this machine works like this. It's 140 times 2 to get 280 then add in the 120 to get 400.
This matches up good with what I can do on the smith machine with my left arm.
I have plenty of videos of me benching 205 for 5 reps on the smith machine with my left arm. Which is the equivalent of 175 for 5 with one arm after subtracting the 30 lbs because the smith bar weighs 15. So that's 350 for 5.
I can't bench with my right arm because it's crooked from baseball and tendinitis.
I did this after my 35 yard dash workout at the track.
Are there any professional sprinters out there that bench more than 350?
I think I heard somewhere that Trey Hardee had a 350 max and Aikines Areety was at 360 at 209 LBS bodyweight. I don't know what he could do now at 194 though.
Other than those two guys are there any others that were near 400 at bodyweights less than 225? I haven't really heard about anyones bench press maxes in track and field.
Does anyone have any info on this?
