I'd love to see Rogers and Roesler team up and train together
Roesler never ran well as a pro and isn't with Nike any more.
How could anyone fault someone for not wanting to live in the cesspool that is Philadelphia?
Her business sense in obvious
Ray has to cash in on the fame the best she can while she's still relevant.
They put an huge amateur snapshot of Ray at the new track venue at UO along with Ash and some oldie before our time.
Ultimately all athletes want to make it to L.A. where media exposure is 1,000,000 times anywhere else on Earth.
Ray will make it to L.A. soon I know.
Raevyn silvers at WC. The Olys are next. She didn't dump her coached at all. Raevyn must take the best path for sponsors and advertisements and has done so. If Tokyo goes well it's on to Hollywood to live and train. Hollywood is the ultimate goal for sports stars.

We gotta admit we didn't see this coming. Thompson guided the 23-year old to WC silver and lowered her pb from 1:59.10 to 1:57.67.
Maybe Thompson was abusive.
You never really know what's going on in these groups.

Haha dude she’s a track star. Not an NBA all star or Super Bowl winner. You think she’ll be getting invited to A list celeb parties?
Highly, highly unlikely for a speed based 800m runner to make the Olympic final at 32. Especially when that athlete has been world class since 19 y/o.

Yup. All the great ones live in Bel-Air, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Palos Verdes, etc. Some exceptions though, Meghan Markel and Prince Harry live in South Central L.A. with the Blood and Crips firing AK-47s at each other on days in between #BlackLivesMatter protests.

It's this type of journalistic choice -simple as it is, choosing one word over another, for years now- that has cultivated the current image of Letsrun, especially among elites. Views>integrity, and this will continue to separate tabloid from real, unbiased reporting.
She's in the limelight with a WC Silver and her selfie on that stupid building at the Eug track. If she medals at Tok then it's the bigtime for her in Hollywood with all the other Oly and Wc medalists.
I thought this thread was about Natosha Rogers.
This could be true and was my initial thought. His coaching style is abrasive and has been abusive in the past. I know other athletes that have left after physical and verbal abuse. His workouts are good, and he has done some great things for the Philly youth running community, but if you get on his bad side it is difficult to recover. It depends on the athlete if they can/want to perform or thrive in that type of situation.

I said the same thing two days ago on this thread and the mods censored me.
We used the word dumps on social media not on the actual article title .
Our social media post was trying to be a bit more catchy.
I think it is a poor choice of words and we will do better next time. Jonathan Gault the author of the article objected to it as well.
The actual article title ‘Raevyn Rogers Leaves Derek Thompson’s Group, Will Now Be Coached by Pete Julian‘
Social media posts often have catchier titles and I think we did a poor job here.
