One of the top d3 teams in the country is out. Is there any hope left for a season?

Another one bites the dust
My old coach told me there's a rumor going around that the Ivies are going to announce it soon too.
I suspect the 2021 fall sports may get axed.
They are going all in on this thing.
I remember in early March when we were going to lockdown for three weeks, flatten the curves, and then get squared away
Sure, 'they' are trying to ruin all of our lives. That doesn't sound paranoid at all. Perhaps it's a real pandemic that is impacting the entire world. Perhaps colleges will suspend athletics in the best interests of broader public health.

When Harvard cancels, that’s how we will know it’s over.
Out of an abundance of caution, if one life is saved, it is worth it. After all, we are all in this together.
While we’re at it, please destroy all automobiles, motorcycles, ladders, stairs and bathtubs.
And stop going to doctors and hospitals. The medical-pharma industrial complex kills more than the all causes in preceding paragraph combined.
We are never going to be back to normal until everyone gets coronavirus and we all have antibodies. We should just speed that process up and let everyone get infected. For most there are either no effects or at worst it feels like a cold.
This isn't something we should live in fear of for the rest of our lives.

We should keep infection level constantly just below the hospital capacity threshold. That way, we will have the least economic impact, because we will reach herd immunity faster.

90% of people have no effect or at worst it feels like a cold, but that doesn't help the 9% that need hospitalization, or the 1% that die.

That’s just like any sickness. Some will die from the flu, most people will just recover and move on with life.
Well, Eph them.
Do some research on permanent lung damage for covid positive even when asymptomatic. Perhaps that will be the thing that can persuade this distance running crowd of it's seriousness.
You and your atheltes will never be able to run well again.
Everyone who thinks it is no big deal doesn't have anyone in their life that has caught it. At soon as they do it is 180 degree change in perspective.

This was very well done.

Know anyone this has happened to?
Know of anyone this has happened to?
It's all fear mongering

Simple math time. roughly 5% of all cases have people in the ICU (1 in 20). According to this article, 1 in 5 people who went to the ICU develop long lasting lung damage. Theres about a 1% chance you develop these long lasting symptoms. I would also assume they're mostly in people who've smoked a lot or have other lung conditions.

If you ain't paranoid yet you are asleep

And perhaps its BS with a hidden agenda.
Pandemic?
I see nothing in real life. Nothing. Just lots of fear mongering on TV, newspaper, internet
Disturbing lack of empathy shown in this thread. Thankfully, competent adults are making decisions at places like Williams and I doubt there will be ANY college sports this Fall, and that includes P5 football.
