Hello,
I was scheduled to run the fall Boston Marathon. If I feel it is safe to travel, I will still come out to Boston for a visit this September and to do my "virtual" Boston Marathon there. I have run Boston before and I was looking online at trails in the city and area for my personal virtual race. The Charles River Bike Path looks nice and I have a few questions if locals might be able to help me out with these:
1. I saw there are water fountains and bathrooms on the trail. Are they still open or closed due to coronavirus?
2. Is this a bike path where bicyclists are friendly to runners? That is, calling out when they pass and not acting like they own the entire width of the trail.
3. Is it a lighted trail? I am considering starting before the sun comes up if possible.
4. Did Cambridge or other areas demand runners wear masks? And if so, is this still in effect?
Any help on these questions is greatly appreciated! Happy running!
