yes, it seems still a bit more focussed on field and sprint events but there were some decent results in mid/distance in Switzerland in the last few days.
Usten, June 26th
10000m F Schlumpf (SUI) 32:16.37 [albeit with a male pacer troughout the race]
10000m M Vojta (Austria) 28:30.28 Boch (Germany) 28:31.94

Bern, June 27th
1500m F Klein (GER) 4:08.70, Büchel (SUI) 4:10.12
People also seem to be travelling from Netherlands and Belgium (in addition to Italy, France and Germany) to the Swiss meets.
So they are not simply small local meets.
Track season has begun (in Europe at least)
yes this is what happens when their leaders believe in science and take appropriate measures to lessen the spread of the virus ... with the way things are going on in the us I don't think that there will be sports for a long time...
Yup. Basically doing nothing, with some countries having no lockdown at all.
Fastest races in the world however seem to be in Norway right now. Since April:
Fastest 800m = Norway
Fastest 1000m = Norway
Fastest 1500m = Norway (split during 2000m)
Fastest mile = Norway (split during 2000m)
Fastest 2000m = Norway
Fastest 3000m = Finland (3rd is Norway)
Fastest 5000m = Norway
Fastest 10000m = Switzerland (for now, but should be Norway by tomorrow)

Norwegian Kbrom has now run the world’s fastest 10000m this year (28:23) in Norway.
Norway has however lost the fastest 1500m (since April) and 5000m, which were both run in the US on June 30.
Norway also lost the fastest 800m (since April), which was run in Hungary today (1:46.18)
Not seeing many high level distance results outside of Scandanavia (and now the USA). Athletes in many western European countries weren't even allowed to train so I am curious whether they'll be in shape.
It really takes off in Monaco, august 14th.
yeah, cause they have control of covid. America doesn't.
