Pretty sure he was solo through much of the run? He's a big talent!
Did he run 13:37 in 2015??

Hold on, he ran 13:36 age 17?? That is better than Rupp!
Aussies have always lacked endurance.. ask Mona, Deek, Mottram, they never could win Gold at the Olympics, fading at the end.

I'm a big fan of the Aussies and MTC but their Diamond League performances (essentially time trials) always outshine their championship ones, especially compared to the Yanks and Brits. Don't know if they're just peaking early or cracking under pressure, but they put out super fast times very early on and just don't get the championship placements to back them up. They didn't put a single man in the 1500m finals at worlds last year.
Stewy McSweyn did really well in the 5000m but frankly he's the only world/olympic finals-caliber athlete they've got as of now. I do think Ramsden could shape up to be a competitor during the next few Olympic cycles if he progresses well. Gregson seems to be doing alright but it remains to be seen whether he'll age into his 30s as gracefully as Willis did.

Gotta love a sweeping generalisation

Drew Hunter, BORN 5 SEPTEMBER 1997, gets almost 0 support on these boards.
800m: 1:48.57
1500m: 3:35.90
Mile: 3:56.72
3000m: 7:39.85
5000m: 13:21.18
Funny that when a foreigner has excellent performances he instantly gets praised and cherished, and when a US runner does even better he and his coach get blamed for injuries, selling apparel/doing marketing, not training hard enough, not joining the right pro/elite team etc.
And you can see, Hunter is actually quite a bit better at the 3000/5000 despite being similar in other events - a hallmark feature of Tinman's CV training.
*The poster I quoted who posted Ramsden's performances listed his old 5000m time of 13:36, it's 13:27 now - but still not as good as Hunter's 13:21.
Both runners, and their coaches deserve praise and acknowledgement.

Your opinion is not even backed up by stats. Australians are generally as successful over 5000 on the track, half marathons on the road, and the classic distance as Americans and Englishmen. Just the last three and a half years as a sample size. Historically even better, heard of Ron Clarke?

Didn't he have 100% pacing Kipchoge-style?
Hunter's 5k time may be faster, but Ramsden's 13:27 is more impressive. Watch the two videos. Ramsden ran almost completely solo in windy conditions. Hunter ran in perfect conditions hanging on to a large pack at Stanford.

Sorry Phil, could you just remind me who coaches Drew Hunter again? Will someone please change the broken record.
Are you in a relationship with tinman or are you tinman? Every fucking post gets turned into a hunter/tinman thread by you.

Morgan McDonald made the final of the World Championships in both 2017 and 2019.

They have lots of women making finals. Just in 2019:
Gen Gregson- 10th steeple
Susan Krumins- 7th 10k
Camille Buscomb- 12th 5k/10k
Sinead Diver- 14th 10k
Andrea Seccafien- 13th 5k
