Why are incoming freshman still racing? All is good in the north east. XC is a go.
LolZ. Xc will be cancelled like the rest of the fall season.

Not in Iowa. All high school sports are currently running.

Nico, ran 13:50 and 8:40, great times, and won NXN, once. Not the greatest of all time though.
His 8:40 was his junior year. He ran 7:56 in the 3000m at Millrose. He is the greatest 3000m HS runner of all time and one of the all time best in HS.
His NXN win was the best ever,
Absolutely smart. Late June now I imagine a 2 week layoff probably start building that base in 2 weeks. Probably 8to 10 weeks of base training puts him into mid to late september 1st race nuttycombe mid October is my guess for a race opener for Nico

also fastest 3 mile time in high school history
What’s the point of Nico going for 8:29 or any other high school records? The kid has a bright future and is obviously very talented. Best thing to do is what he is doing. Building for his college career. Add mileage get stronger and soon get acclimated to college and training at altitude. Even if Cross does not happen Mike Smith will have Nico and the entire team building for the future

Iowa isn’t the NCAA
They aren't? They are the reigning Big 10 champs in outdoor track. Somebody needs to tell Joey Woody that you kicked them out of the NCAA.
Then what is the point of ever racing fast if you are always looking ahead to the next level? We know that many people peak in HS and some peak in college. Few ever run faster.

Can we stop pretending there will be a XC season this fall? It’s not going to happen and would be irresponsible with cases skyrocketing like they are. One sick athlete who dies (maybe has an unknown pre-existing condion) and all sports are shut down. No season.
This...
Until there is a vaccine nothing should occur that draws crowds. It's socially irresponsible to ask anyone to risk death. This is the new normal, deal with it. Go back to your homes and wait for the vaccine.
People like you are why thousands of unnecessary lives will be lost and why we are currently the laughing stock of the world.
We better start taking down the 5G towers that are causing people to get infected with this virus that doesn't actually exist because no one has actually been infected and the virus is not actually a virus because it isn't a virus particle it is actually a 5G tower causing high levels of radiation with low radiation waves.
Oh yeah and Arianna Grande is using pop music to charm us with demonic spells that are backmasked in her music.

There won't ever be an effective safe vaccination, so good luck with that. Feel free to be the first in line for it though.
I think every NCAA program in the country will be red shirting cross country. Spring track and possibly indoors will be good to go, however.
Great, I think he is the best high school prospect this year and now he is on Mike Smith’s training. He’ll be the class of the NCAA when all’s said and done.
Young will be about the 5th best guy in college from the 2020 class.
That’s a good prediction
Nico can be top 10 at NCAA’s in tbt fall.
