Who is more in favor of taking down George Washington statues for owning slaves?
right or left?
And, if it is done, what do we do about his leadership in the Revolutionary War?
Do we acknowledge that with memorials?

I am a registered Democrat.
Here is what I have experienced in the least 6 weeks.
Discussions with conservatives. We agree, we disagree. We talk. We go our separate ways.
Discussions with liberals; Even though I inform them that I voted for the same person as them, the fact that I disagreed with some on one or more topics, caused the following: Screaming at me. Insults. Asking people which car was mine ( so they could damage it)
Things need to change
We have two cults in the country today. Both hear Trump speak and one cult immediately rejects it and spouts hatred. The other hears it and spouts adoration. These two cults are the real problem. Until this changes, we will not see this country heal politically.

I understand where the OP is coming from. Where I live, if you dont wear a black lives matter shirt or a defund the police shirt or wear a rainbow shirt you're made to feel like you're a kkk member. People tend to "like" certain facebook posts because you're expected and comment on how horrible we are as a country.
I see the polarization.
I get what you are saying and agree that some liberals act that way.
I am saying that I am very liberal and don't act that way.
I don't care for the generalization.
I am probably as for to the other side as you are, but I find that people label me in ways that are not completely accurate. I think Trump is missing out on an opportunity to heal race relations here, but refuses to state that black lives matter because he doesn't see the difference between the concept and the official organization. I think you are correct about free college in the future and wonder "why not?" Same for reasonable healthcare reform that makes availability a reality for all, regardless of where they work. I guess it is because I put my faith ahead of my politics.

I describe myself as a classical liberal, am NOT a Trump supporter, and voted for both Obama and Hilary. I have noticed the same thing. Pretty much all of the hysterical, overly emotional, reactive, hateful people seem to be on the left. I've watched video after video after video of left-wingers stealing signs, assaulting Trump supporters, screaming, etc. Not saying there aren't crazies on the right because there definitely are, but the behavior described seems to be WAAAAY more prevalent on the left. I've had several people on the left straight up tell me they cannot talk politics with people who disagree with them because of how angry they get. I've never heard a conservative say such things.
"...left-wingers stealing signs..."
The Houston Astros are left-wingers?
Touche!

You're a troll, but I'll reply anyway.
Getting yelled at over politics really depends on who you're talking to and if you hit the right trigger points. I have friends that I can piss off on both sides of the aisle. These people are emotionally unhinged and not exclusive to either party.
You may be a registered Democrat, but you're a certifiable moron if you think only liberals fly off the hinges when talking about politics.
