I think j) would be an interesting choice, especially if you varied your pace and climbing. I'd love to see how 4 months of 2 X 25 miles per week would work for marathon or half marathon training. Of course it would be hard not to get injured, but if you made it through 12 weeks, you'd probably increase aerobic base, fat burning, and mental toughness. A marathon would feel pretty easy.
