No way, in a country where 230K die monthly we found a way to blame 120K deaths over 3 and a half months on a virus!!!!!
I say that tounge in cheek because Covid is spreading and has absolutely killed people. But the death tolls are bogus. To cover their butts on the overreaction new guidelines were issued on how to diagnose COVID deaths that go against the methods the medical profession has used for decades. Then to double down the health care industry was financially incentivized to label hospitalizations and deaths Covid related.
A huge number of Covid deaths are individuals who were dying already regardless of COVID or within the next few months of "natural causes." This is low threat to the general public.
Healthcare workers are exposed to the virus indoors and at the highest viral load. Obviously now thousands should have fallen victim to this extremely deadly virus. As of now, about 600 healthcare workers have died (of/with) COVID in the US out of 100's of thousands who have been exposed. This is a very tiny threat to anyone in good health.
There is a medical consensus amongst the TV doctors jamming the airwaves. But I can tell you everyone I know personally in the medical profession is of the opinion this is a massive overreaction.

Wow. You are really clever.
No, I mean it, you are really, really clever!

Is this Fox News segment featuring a single doctor supposed to be a counter to actual facts? Is that where we’re at?

Agreed. I stayed out of politics and never cared either way until this virus. The liberals have lost all common sense and made this so political that I am now on the right. I’m 40 and trump will be the first president I vote for.
Listen, I completely agree that both sides of the aisle are basically FUBAR, but I will never understand how someone with a conscious could vote for Donald Trump. He has not shown one OUNCE of leadership at any point in his term, has completely coward away from even addressing the reality of the trifecta of crises we find ourselves in, and perhaps most importantly has made the US a total and complete laughing stock on the global stage. I sincerely fear for what will become of our country if we elect this failed reality tv clown to a second term.
Interesting assertions. Links, please? (Oh, and no blogs or YouTube videos, please.)
"In the medical profession" covers a lot of ground. I have multiple *actual MDs* in the family and they don't see an overreaction at all; to the contrary, they think the response has been insufficient.
But they *are* glad that they now have access to better PPE and that better diagnosis/treatment protocols are in place, so that they're less likely to sicken and die as hundreds of their colleagues did in the early days.
Anyway, much thanks in advance for those links. Personally, I would love it if not another person was sickened or killed by the virus.
COVID deaths are under-reported. Not sure if you purposefully ignored the article I linked or can’t be bothered to read but there are many more just like it. This is not even debatable. It is consensus. No one cares how many doctor friends you have. My wife is a trauma physician and I also work in a hospital in a major U.S. city. Nearly all of our friends are doctors. Please don’t use “I know medical people” to prove a point. It’s like when people vouch for not being a racist with “I have black friends”. I posted one article but you can look up all of the others. If you can counter with a legit source (i.e. not Fox News or Brietbart) then I’ll gladly read it. Until then, you’re doing a disservice to the many thousands of people that have died of COVID by assuming they all would’ve died eventually anyway. We all die eventually anyway.
Thank you for your opinion highly educated anonymous Russian bot.

Hey hey, Bad Wigins, I.D. (Internet Doctor) weighs in! Yet still, somehow I'm gonna want to go with *actual* doctors and epidemiologists. No disputing tastes, I guess.
A good general guide on this topic: Whatever BW says, go the opposite way.
Now there's a well-reasoned argument!
Good job!
You might have good intentions as your name implies, but you sure do lie a lot. Also, who are you to tell that ER physician( a man of science) that he is wrong. Can't make this stuff up. THIS is why a guy like Trump was elected.
Up until coronavirus hit, he was a shoe in for a second term, as the economy was in good shape and more than anything else, people vote their pocket book. Coronavirus hurt him, but it would have hurt a Democratic incumbent as well. In my opinion the Democratic leaders have done a poorer job of handling coronavirus than Trump (see New York State's almost criminal handling of the virus). The question is if you believe Biden (or the puppet masters that will be running his regime as his mental state has deteriorated rapidly) will do a better job with the recovery than Trump would. The economy is the only thing that really matters, as the rest is just window dressing.
A virus that is always surging and spiking and never goes away.
Yet somehow returns in several more waves
I think you can figure it out by google. The information is easily accessible.
You can see the guidelines that were issued on how to note COVID as cause of death. Educate yourself on how cause of death is normally recorded based on medical professionals' experience. It is not done through a laboratory test.
You can easily google the numbers on how much extra money hospitals get for treating COVID patients. This is well documented.
Half of COVID deaths have been in nursing homes. The life expectancy upon entering a nursing home is 13 months, but the median is less than 6. It is not reasonable to base a nationwide policy off individuals with a life expectancy of under 6 months.
89% or New Yorkers who died of COVID has a comorbidity.
I'm not saying COVID didn't kill people or even push some very sick people over the edge a little quicker. But the 120K is a manipulated number taken greatly out of context from how we assign the cause of deaths for every other ailment.

It now only hits in areas that favor the guys with an R after their name. Very curious virus, indeed.
+1
People ignore the comorbidity factor and ignore the fact that steps were taken to flatten the curve, not eliminate the virus...yet. The steps worked in most places, as hospitals are better able to manage the slow influx of cases happening now, when they were in full panic mode just three months ago.

1) Who said protestors are immune?
2) Who said the virus avoids huge retailers?
3) Who said the virus skips BLM funerals?
I'm glad I'll never have a tiny intelligence like you.
Found the ignorant fool offended by satire.
Where was Fauci during the height of the protesting? Hiding that's where.
Now that it's calmed down somewhat he's back to lecture his false narratives.
Are you daft? Every hospital, mine included, has lost tons of money through COVID via the cancellation of elective surgeries, outpatient procedures, etc. They’ve furloughed and laid off tons of employees. How, exactly, would people make money off of COVID? Still waiting on this mysterious “data”.

Satire? I’m not sure how to respond to this.
