The general trend is that the closer you identify as a native american, the more you are offended. If you are a Harvard professor whose great grandma was a cherokee, you don't care. If you are living on the reservation, you care a bit more. I value the opinion on the subject of one group a lot more. And obviously there is some nuance between calling your team the redskins versus the indians, chiefs, Seminoles, and so on.
