WTF: MTV fires tv star who posted something racist 8 years ago as a minor even though she just had two babies with a black man

The radicals are in control. The democrats have hated the first amendment and now they are becoming the speech police.

They got Live PD cancelled and are are trying to get a cartoon about a dog police officer cancelled. The worst was a soccer player was fired for something his wife tweeted.

A Republican senator could fire his/her staff and then blame the Democrats for it and you'd lap it up.

In the day and age of social media, you can never make a mistake. 8 years ago, MTV's teen mom Taylor Selfridge posted something racist tweeet when she was a minor (She's 25 now so I assume she was 17 at the time although it's possible she was 18 based on dates).

She's obviously changed as she's just given birth to a couple of kids fathered by Taylor Wharton who is black.

But MTV has just fired her.

I thought as a society we were supposed to move forward and learn from our mistakes, particularly racial one. She's clearly done that and yet she's getting canned? Insanity.

So what? You can be fired for most any reason. Also, she was old enough to know better. But someone who's a teen mom doesn't make great life choices.

As I've said before you have a right to free speech in this country, not a right to have no repercussions from your use of that speech.

You have every right to kneel for the anthem, burn the American flag, or display the confederate flag. You don't have the right for people not to be offended if you do so.

Private companies have every right to fire their employees for these actions or restrict these actions while at work for the company. I have no problem with MTV firing her and if I were in MTV's position and she had the potential to bring negative blowback on the network I'd do the same.

Are you serious? It's absolutely BLM and other radicals on social media calling for the firings. For one, BLM is clearly calling for innocent policemen to be fired. It's ruthless, they even target advertisers to crush businesses. My 12 year old cousin is getting bullied on social media because her father is a police officer. They are trying to DESTROY anyone with a dissenting opinion.

And if you actually read the article I posted, you'd see there were many fans protesting and calling for him to be fired.

Any bullying, particularly of children is terrible. Maybe it's other kids at her school rather than adults who are out protesting? I guess you don't know.

The soccer player was released by mutual consent. I suspect the attention on his (ignorant)wife was too much and agreed to leave to protect her. He did the right thing.

Nobody at BLM has a sign about 'Gone with the Wind' or about minor celebrities on twitter. It's a side-show talking point designed to distract you from what is an anti-racism protest. If businesses totally separate from BLM make silly decisions or misunderstand you can't blame BLM.

It's weird, but I guess its not worse than bringing up a police brutality victims criminal history from their youth after they were beaten or killed by some cops ?

If you actually think it's mutual consent, I have a bridge to sell you. They just don't want to admit publicly they fired him. It's 100% clear that his wife's statements led to his release from the team - it was nothing he did himself. He lost his career.

I've been saying BLM and other radicals. They are all using race to divide us. BLM/ANTIFA currently has taken over part of Seattle and are making insane demands such as shutting down all prisons. The media and local mayors call the rioters and looters "peaceful protesters". You've been gaslighted and you can't even see it.
