Going into junior year, I want run run as close to sub 16 as I can possibly get, I’m willing to do anything I can to get there. To do so I would need to cut 55 sec off my current time. I’ve seen people go from 18-15:56 before out of no where and people go from 17:15-16:10, what do I need to do to get as close as possible to sub 16. In this past spring season I have been able to do 4 mile tempos at 5:36 pace, which I’ve seen people running sub 16 struggle to do and I know I am not in that shape yet. I have 4:40 mile speed from indoor track. Any summer running tips? This will be my first serious and focused summer of training.
