Similar boat to you, I was training for a spring marathon, got upto a 50 a week for a few weeks in Jan/Feb then got a small injury and hardly ran for a month, now after slowly building backup I have just made it to 50 again. In theory my marathon is still on in October, but i'm having doubts.
Like you i'm hesitant to jump into a heaving 12+ week training plan just yet. My plan is to build to 60, maybe even 70 over the next month or 2 with just easy running with a few tempos/strides. Then re-assess early August, hopefully decisions would have been made by then. Either way i'll then have a nice base behind me, and could then do an 8-10 week block of slightly more marathon specific work should it happen, or just chill and do some time trials for fun. Can't see any fall races going ahead though to be honest.
