Hi guys.
So i may be overthinking this a little bit but i have recently just come out of injury with shin splints on my left anterior shin and things are finally looking up (TOUCH WOOD!!!!!)
Now i have been running for over 7 years (seriously... only about 3 years) and the longest time i've ever had off is about 2 weeks. So after having 3 weeks off - of absolutely NO TRAINING WHATSOEVER, i was wondering what you guys may think is the best thing for me to do whilst i make my come back. I broke 1:12:00 in the half marathon and 15:30 in the 5k early this year (at 20 years old if that's relevant info for anyone lol) but ive never had this much time off before and can really REALLY feel the effect its had on me. My heart rate for 'easy runs' is always SKY HIGH now when before i was injured it was always low like in the low 150's - high 140's. Oh and harder runs..... OMG don't even go there. Its like i've never run before in my life!
Additional Info about me incase someone really kindly comments their advice :)
