Yesterday night I ran a 4:37 mile in 84 degrees (felt like 88) and 61% humidity. The dew point was 70 degrees.
My PR is 4:35 in the mile and this was run in mid 50s with very little humidity... cold and dry.
I feel like my workouts have been getting better and I’m a lot fitter than when I ran that time earlier in the track season but I don’t know if I’m actually fitter or if it’s all in my head.
Furthermore, I question how much conditions can affect a mile race. I know that it affects longer distances a lot more than shorter distances.
If so, what would be the time equivalent for a mile in these conditions (if ran in better conditions)?
