I would put 2 pairs in. Pink for her, green for him. Seems more appropriate. Just pretend like you have the same size feet and bingo... you have two pairs of shoes and it is all of a sudden socially acceptable.

If you partner sees them on the list now, you ain't getting married next year.
Wedding gifts should be something that you and your partner can share a life with.
I suppose you could argue that running makes you happy, and a happy spouse is better than a sad one.
Or if your partner also runs, and you both had shoes on the list so you could run together, then ya, maybe ok.
