Does anyone run basically the same amount of mileage year-round, but train for various races (from 5k to marathon)? If so, how do you vary the training depending on the upcoming race?

My DANCAN system is like that! You just vary the long specific run to be shorter when going for the 5k/10 k and then put in the specific long run to be 2 - 2:40 hours when going for the half/ marathon.
