Not sure about Chauvin - but Ellison has made the job of his prosecutors a lot tougher by upping to 2nd degree murder.
Chauvin deserves the harshest punishment but for 2nd degree murder, it must be shown that he wanted to kill Floyd.
Knowing of the personal consequences to himself or even the risk of consequences, why would anyone chose that?
This version of 2nd degree murder does not require it was intentional. Chauvin was clearly in the wrong and should be convicted. I would say 50/50 chance on the others, although if they are not convicted all h*ll will break loose.
