The team Steve Lewis, Kevin Young, Danny Everett and Henry Thomas became the first NCAA team to break 3:00 at NCAAs in 1988, leading the Bruins to the team title. Later that year, Everett and Lewis went 1-2 in the 400 and would go 1-3 in the Olympic 400 later that year. Young won the 400h by 2.22 seconds at NCAAs and then 4 years later Young would set the 400h world record.
