Hi,
I received an Omron scale as part of a development program I am in at work, set it up this morning and gave it a go. I. was somewhat surprised by the results for a 6'2"/180 lb individual.
1) Body Fat - 14%
2) Body Age - 45
As a 35 year old running 70+ miles a week these numbers seemed a bit shocking to me. I am by no means fast but would like to think my times are respectable for a hobby jogger who started running distance later in life.
Does anyone have any experience with these types of scales or this scale in particular? Is the data just complete garbage? Are trends meaningful even if the raw numbers are not?
On the one hand I would have like to see a low body fat number but on the other hand it makes me wonder what my upside looks like if I can get that number down to < 10%.
