Hey genius, remember when you had a mental break down and told everyone you would never come back?

And remember he also got sick at a critical time last year, and had his final school exams to study for. Not that he needs any excuses for the incredible feats he performed last season.
Maybe the problem is that he is shacking up with that Norwegian wench that his parents let live with him in their basement. My parents would have kicked my derriere for that.

The interesting thing is that he has a big progression every two years. He alternate "year off" and "big breakthrough", just look at his progression ;
2016 (big year) 3:42
2017 (off year) 3:39
2018 (big year) 3:31
2019 (off year) 3:30
2020 (big year ?) X
2016 -> 2017 progression : 3 secs
2017 -> 2018 progression : 8 secs
2018 -> 2019 progression : 1 sec.
2016 -> 2017 progression = 3
3/3 = 1 = 2018 -> 2019 progression
So considering 2017 -> 2018 progression = 8
8/3 = 2,66 = 2019 -> 2020 progression
So I think in a perfect race in Monca with a good negative split and great competition, Jakob is in ~3:27.5 shape. Call me crazy if you want, but you all have under estimated a lot Jakob every year
You are reading too much into too few datapoints. But if you look at college kids, you often see similar patterns. Few people improve steadily from freshmen year to senior year in college. Way too much stuff is going on. We are talking about an 18 year old kids performance. Him dropping another 3-4s over the next 5 years wouldn't be shocking. Him maxing out after a decade of hard training wouldn't be that shocking either.
No not if you are Jakob. Don't be ridiculous
In ex-runner's world, every runner from a corrupt, Third World country, is clean, even with 150+ positives in 12 years and confirmed bribes etc in the testing process, and with much greater financial motivation to cheat. On the other hand, every runner from a predominantly white First World country, with low levels of every day corruption and much harder access to peds, is dirty.
Because of the Swiss bankers!
What an imbecile.

Watch out he'll bring up your white privilege. I'm surprised he has time to post in between all those Trump protests.

I'm not sure you can read.
You say all the black runners (not just from African countries) are cheats and all the white runners are not. Absolutely 100% of the time, that is your stance. No matte where an athlete trains or lives or how much he is tested. All the Blacks are dirty and all the Whites are clean. Even when black and white runners train together the blacks are doping and the whites not. Even when talking about athletes like Korir who lived and trained in the US or Amos who lives and trains with OTC.
I wrote quite clearly in my earlier post I do not think Jakob is doping. In fact I don't think any white distance runner I can think of is doping.
The difference is that I also don't think that all the Africans are doping.
You do, and that is prejudice.

You have no idea of my race.

You idiots are pure racist.
If I used language like - 'all blacks are losers who make excuses' I'd get banned.
I didn't say anything about race. I said that you always make excuses for YOUR losers.

My favourite was when Coevett blamed Timothy Cheruiyot for not pacemaking Jakob to a PB. Hilarious.

I remember that ?. Absolutely scandalous by Tim. How dare he?
It wasn't that he didn't pace him to a PB, it vwas that he deliberately slowed the race down.
I suggested Tim should have had his appearance/prizemoney withheld, and I stand by that.
He let down not only the other athletes but the public who had paid money to see super fast times. The athletes only get that chance for a crazy Monaco time once a year, and likely not at all this year. The public wanted to see Jakob go under 3:30 as an 18 year old.
You'd have been pi$$ed if Jakob derailed Kipchoges sub 2 hour marathon.
@ex-doper - you claimed Cram, Coe, and Ovett all doped the other day. You slandered Anthony Whiteman on the basis that he could have doped (as a master) so he did. Yon claimed 'everybody dopes' but now you say virtually nobody does. You defend obvious dopers like Big Mac and Amos and get excited over the prospect of the suspended doper Kiprop turning out for Team Potato next week.
You're a doper head.
You are a lunatic.
Jakob was employed as a pacemaker in the Kipchoge sub 2.
Timothy Cheruiyot is Jakob's competitor in the 1500m. The aim of the game is to beat eachother using any legal tactics. The final time is irrelevant as we saw in Rio. Jakob was welcome to take the lead and keep the pace hot if he wanted to personally run a fast time.
I like how you answer for Jakob as if you know his thoughts.
I bet he couldn't give a sht what you think and would reflect upon himself that he could have and should have won that race and not fallen into the Kenyan's tactics.
I've never stated everyone dopes. That's your line.
The other day I reported some cold hard facts about the era in which Britain produced it's finest middle distance athletes. You didn't like those facts. Doesn't make them false. And I never accused anyone.
As a reminder those fact were:
Steroids were legal until 1976 and the first 'suprise' drug tests to be carried out in-competition were in 1983. Nobody was ever tested out of competition. Before then athletes were informed ahead of time they would be tested at a competition.
Blood doping was legal until 1986. It was well known about in elite sport since the 70s. It was finally banned due to the health implications.
Those are just facts. Like them or not.
