I still don't understand why conservatives got so triggered by Kap taking a knee. I for one prefered that to the riots we have right now, but maybe that's just me.

How do you know the cop was a "racist"? If it was a black cop then it would have made it all better for you?
Whites are killed by cops more than blacks. Why are you screaming out against this and not when a white is killed? Do you have a preference? Do you not realize how racist that is?
You don't realize stealing, looting, damaging private property and burning down shyt is wrong? It is you that are the problem.
There you go again. Red herrings. Hard for you to focus on the topic at hand I see. Feel free to start a thread about all the white people who are killed by racist black cops and how those black cops alway get away with it every time..

Let me explain: The national anthem at the beginning of the contest is to show support the those in the military that sacrificed so that we can be free. His protest was misdirected. He he wanted to kneel during introductions, or wear a BLM t-shirt, nobody would have minded. But by kneeling during the national anthem he was disrespecting those that scarified and bringing attention to himself.
Taxpayer funded national celebrations seem like a pretty reasonable time to protest police brutality to me.

Agree. But this being a racist matter, is BS. This is a policing matter that affects all citizens. It is blatantly obvious that law enforcement cannot police themselves. We have all see local cops use the badge to defy traffic laws, be the instigator in violence against unarmed civilians, plan evidence at crime scenes, steal and deal drugs, commit sexual assaults, be used by politicians against political enemies, and now we have even send the FBI be involved in fabricating evidence against a sitting president and his administration. They can't be trusted to police themselves.

How many people know that is why he was "taking a knee"?
Did his "taking a knee" bring about any change?

Well there are still people talking about it years later on a running messageboard, so I'd say his message was heard. But you are the same dunce who said that cops kneeling in solidarity with protesters was pointless, so I don't expect you to see any change.

Yeah, it was brought up because it hasn't brought about any change.
No, I stated that the actions of the kneeling police was a nice gesture, but will not create any change.
Great now we'll have to deal with his Fidel Castro loving @$$ for a couple more years.

Yeah, so in the last 4 months, how many white people have been killed by cops of another color? How many white people jogging down the road have been surrounded by black strangers and shot and then seen the guilty people go about their business unbothered for months on end? How many little white kids have been shot while playing with toy guns? How many white people have been shot by cops while sleeping in their beds? I guess the media is doing an excellent job of covering up all these instances of the criminal and justice system failing to work for them. While we're at it, in Minneapolis, the people who are disproportionately affected by Covid-19 are black and brown. 40% of the people dead in Michigan so far of Covid 19 - black. But, hey, I guess you're one of those white people who does not see color. Everyone is equal in the country. No differences whatsoever. I digress. You were saying we have "...all seen local cops use the badge to defy traffic laws, be the instigator in violence against unarmed civilians, plan evidence at crime scenes, steal and deal drugs, commit sexual assaults,.." Have you experienced it though? You, yourself? Your son, brother, mother, father. This week, last week, last month, the month before that? Heard the same stories from people who look like you? Again, and again, and again? If not, perhaps you need to do a little more informing of yourself.

Didn't realize a cop was not supposed to use more force if the criminal was resisting arrest?
You do know this guy that died was a known violent criminal right? Spent 5 years in prison.
Perhaps next time a cop should shown complete restraint and allow the criminals to have their way with him? Is that what you want?
Spent 5 years in prison, and that somehow justifies his being murdered on the street by 4 cops? Do you think they even knew about his past at the time, and if they did, when he said he couldn't breathe and his his body went limp beneath them, what he did years before was somehow relevant? You can be a rapist and become president or a supreme court justice, but (allegedly) using a counterfeit $20 bill is a crime punishable by death. I can tell why you use the handle you do. You clearly have had practice on a daily basis when you look in the mirror.

Sorry, Einstein, but this thread is about Kaepernick (please see the title). He supports the slaughter of innocent human beings, very disproportionately black ones, while protesting alleged injustices inflicted on black people. That is no red herring; it is a horrid irony. Your brain is part of the problem,
Good sheep.

Cops throughout America aren’t trying to justify the murder by one of their own

I'm always puzzled why a national anthem is played before domestic or club games. It's just jingoism, and belittles the anthem being used in the rightful way between countries.
But I guess since you are never going to 'verse' any other country in NFL, it's being used (or abused).
That said, the other issue that i have with this jingoism, is always being reminded of 'militaries that sacrificed to set you free'.
In the case of USA, the WW2 was concluded by use of German technology bombs dropped far away from its shores....other people's problem, and they have never won any ground war on any country, but started quite a few unnecessary ones.
The USA military is nothing other than an industrial destroy and rebuild machine designed to put money in the pockets of those who make the decisions.
That is who these guys are sacrificing their lives for.

2 years ago, i don't think that would have been deleted even if reported. Thanks for taking steps to improve the board.
before ....the rule seemed to be "If there's any possible way to squint and read it in a possible non-racist non-offensive way....it stays"
now you seem to be using more common sense and calling it what it is and throwing out the trash as you see it.
thank you
