Definitely not a big deal. Funny.

FYI: Coburn says she wasn't responsible for this -- looks like someone was trying to play a joke.

Just do a DNS lookup and see when the domains were bought and registered and to whom.
I lost all respect for her when I saw her imply -- without evidence, of course -- that Beatrice Chepkoech is a doper.
Thought that was pretty lousy.
But Beatrice either didn't hear about it or is just a saint, because she continued to act very graciously toward Coburn even after that.
If that's true then why do you still have this thread up & her name on the front page misleading website visitors?
Some joker probably grabbed the domain and is holding it hostage (and now redirecting to Emma's website) - it was registered back in 2005. Guessing Colleen didn't want to fight it, which is why she was forced to use .org.

The fact that she made a website? Am I missing something?
She took Colleen's name for her own website. Must be some sort of joke that they're playing on each other.
Stop this stupid thread
The OP made the website... there is no way to just casually come across this.
Actually, Colleen would not have had to fight it. There is sufficient precedence for famous people being granted their namesake websites from pirates and profiteers. She was probably poorly advised. She could get it tomorrow with an IP Attorney and get this in front of a judge for a quick judgment in her favor.
Point is, Emma is obviously not behind the website redirect.
I work for an Internet provider and that is correct but only if you own a trademark for your name prior to somebody else registering a domain name.
CQ.com domain was registered with a proxy so you can't tell what individual registered it. CQ can get it back claiming cybersquatting, I would imagine. You should consider registering domains like that for brand protection.

Yeah, well she was a doper so apparently she had more evidence than you thought.
I thought her husband's last name was Bosshard. When did she marry this Savage guy?
You can’t claim cyber squatting unless you have a trademark for your name, additionally there needs to be proof of profiting from using someone’s name
While some here might like to see them pinned against one another, the two of them are obscure enough to the mainstream that I don’t think anyone’s truly pitting them against one another.
Hey idiots. Anyone can buy a domain and direct it to another domain. ANYONE!

She never took her husband's last name. Read into that what you will.

I completely agree.
Seriously, why is this thread up, since it's been determined neither of the two women had anything to do with what happened? This is not very journalistic.

Get with it pal, this is 2020.
More clicks for Emma's site, the Brojo's are doing her a favor FFS, helps them stay sweet with her next time they want some info, etc. It's called good business for everyone.
