When I was in New York a few months ago I encountered some strange behavior on the streets.
One guy who I would have guessed was homeless was yelling in the vicinity of many people.
He was quite angry about something being taken from him yet he seemed a bit aggressive.
I called him out and noticed he followed me parallel to the street I was on. I was a bit worried.
I posted on Letsrun about this and remember one comment where someone said something along the lines of 'New Yorkers ignore these people, you shouldn't try to do anything' except it was more direct.
On one of the last day of my trip I noticed a younger woman who was yelling nasty things about the NYPD. She was obviously angry at them for some reason. She was cursing and did so a number of times. I just kept walking and while I thought about calling her out, thought about what was said on Letsrun.
In hindsight, I think I should have said something. I am not trying to be a police officer. I don't like when there are loud noises around me. Whether it's vehicles or someone disturbing the peace.
New York City has many homeless people. And I was only in Manhattan.
