Where is he on the all time USA high school list?

It's not the scandal you think it is. In El Dorado County there are 67 cases out of a population of almost 200K and restaurants are now allowed to reopen.
That's because people don't usually come into El Dorado County from all over the country to breath heavily in a big pack and then hug each other. But nothing lasts forever.
Exactly, like flu season and hysteria, they all pass!

So who is profiting from the race? Obviously the website, but who are they paying for these rights—the parents?
Or did they just say, hey, we’ll show up and video your race and we’ll sell it online and also, FYI, none of you are allowed to post your own video of it.
I don’t like it either way, but I’m curious about the specifics.
Great question. I know there are some Flotrack lurkers here. Who did you pay to get the rights to this?
Very cool! What a beast.!!
Outstanding finish after the pace got away from them a bit. He has a big future with that kind of kicking ability. Sure, I said that about Ben Saarel after his hs 4:02 win but I'm assuming Daschbach is going all in for the middle distances, which he should get to do at the University of Washington.
Cole Sprout's future seems to be in the 5000m and up. Great to see this. It has got to be tough to be among the all-time hs greats, as a bunch of guys in the class are, and not get much of a chance to prove it.

Reminded me of Cheserek when he sprints. The form goes but he gets faster.
Huh?
Cheserek's form at the end of races is distinctive but I wouldn't say it "goes" as in devolves into bad mechanics.
These guys looked very smooth to me.

I don't understand the questioning of the validity of the meet. They had a USATF official, coned track, and 6 finishers. Those are the requirements. Not only will it count as a valid record by T&F News, it also should count from the NFHS because it was an all high school race. Most sub 4s have been in professional races.
But have to say starting in lanes at this distance would and should invalidate it. Why didn't they have a normal start?
It's easy to lose a half second in the jostle at the beginning.
Because they are smarter than most meet organizers. It makes much more sense to use lanes when possible. I don't understand why single waterfall is ever used instead of lanes or double waterfall.

He is not on the USA High School List, he went to High School in Norway.
The fact that the pacing was so off and he had to kick so much reminds me of Ryun's first sub 4.
In that race he even got knocked off the track and ran 3:59, both those preformances showed there's more than just a 3:59 in them. If Leo ran another mile I could see 3:57-8 maybe even a 3:56
We keep getting High Schoolers who run under 4 Minutes in the Mile, but we still have only 2 Men(Sydney Maree and Bernard Lagat) who have gone under 3:30 for the 1500, why are our Young athletes not Developing as they should, if you can run under 4 minutes in the Mile at age 16-18 with a High School Coach, teammates who just happened to live near the school, on Mediocre Tracks with no pacers and very little if any competition, while having a Full Academic Load why can't they go under 3:30 for 1500 with a Professional Coach, Training Partners who are the best from all over the USA, no academic distractions, races set up on the best tracks in the World with the best pacers and competition? If you can run under 4 Minutes in High School, you should be able to run well under 3:30 after College, all these kids should be challenging El G's record of 3:26.00 as Pros
These high schoolers are training hard. They have good coaches and good tracks and good shoes and good competition. 4 minutes is 13 seconds away from sub 3:30. You make it sound like they are not trying. I guess we have a few years to wait and see though because 7 of the 11 are not at their primes yet.
douglas burke, perhaps it is because we are producing Olympic Champions and not worried about chasing a time? Matt Centrowitz is the reigning Olympic 1500m Champion. That cannot be said for any other country in the world, so I guess we would be the best at developing our youth.
Further my point -
Reigning Olympic Champion, 1500m - Matt Centrowitz
Reigning World Champion, 800m - Donovan Brazier
Reigning Olympic Silver Medalist, Steeplechase - Evan Jager
Reigning Olympic Bronze Medalist, Marathon - Galen Rupp
Reigning Olympic Bronze Medalist, 800m - Clayton Murphy
Looks pretty good to me.
Wow. Even more than I was recalling. And none ran sub 4 in HS.
