Killian would definitely get last because there is no way he is ever, ever going to get into a track or road race.

Why would anyone even put Serena into consideration for this? Is there anything at all about her that suggests she'd be a decent miler?
Serena is in there because she is tops in her sport, and even though she has a freak-show physique, her matches last at least an hour. LeBron does a fair amount of running in a game and practice, so should at least be able to jog a mile.
My guess for finish is:
Mary Cain - 4:40
Phelps - 5:50
LeBron - 6:45
Serena - 8:00
Bolt - 8:10
Killian - DNS. (If he had the courage to race, he gets smoked by Cain in the last 100m and does 4:45)
You have some vague awareness of Kilian's aversion to running on the track and roads, and how he loses inspiration at times during races when seeing pavement (eg, UROC), but you may not be aware that he has adopted a significant amount of flat and fast training into his diet in the last couple of years - including running a 'comfortable' 29' 10km. That was before covid19 which has him doing even more flat and fast training.
That anyone might suggest a name other than Kilian to win this theoretical mile indicates a profound misunderstanding of the training of any of these athletes.
shootout wrote: . . . Not bashing Killian at all. The simple fact is that even though he is a runner, he is also the only one of these who we know for sure will never run a track or road race because he is scared of the competition or can only train on a track but can't race on one, or for whatever other reason. We know for a fact that Mary Cain has run a mile faster than 4:25 and a 1:59 800. Killian never has run times anywhere close to those and I'm saying that Mary Cain would smoke him in a mile race if he was ever brave enough to line up. Killian might be the coolest dude alive but he can't beat Mary Cain in a mile race.
You claim he's scared as a simple fact. Perhaps the others are too scared (more likely) to race him in the mountains. What actually is a 'simple fact' is he is paid well to run the races he does (Salomon is a mountain sports company), and he has no reason to show up to a track meet where he'd be surely underprepared. Let's say for argument's sake that he's a 2:12 marathon talent - that would be with consistent high level and specific training. Running for a long time was his cross training in the summer for Ski Mountaineering. Given the right motivation he'd race something flat and fast (and he's nearly said as much on social media), but odds are still against it.
Jornet 4:25
Cain 4:40
LeBron 5:15
Bolt 6:00
Phelps 6:05
Serena 7:10
If Bolt and Phelps were still in competition shape, I'd imagine they'd run 5:10 and 5:30 respectively.
Serena has the physique of a 10 minute miler, how did that 5k work out for her and her sister?

Mary Cain, Killian Journet, LeBron James, Serena Williams, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps race a mile on a track. Who wins?
Winning by 12 minutes, Jornet ran 21.1K in 1:30:52. The course was by no means ideal for fast times, however, as Jornet climbed more than 1,500m during the race. That’s an average pace of 4:20 per kilometre. According to Strava, his grade-adjusted pace was 3:10 per kilometre, which translates to a sub-1:07 half-marathon.
Assuming they aren't retired and all at their best,
1) Killian Journet
2) Usain Bolt
3) Mary Cain
4)Lebron James
5) Michael Phelps
6) Serena Williams

I know who everyone is on the list except for Jillian. Is she the one who fake climbed Everest few years ago? I'm guessing she is sone kind of thru hiker celebrity.
I have no idea who you are thinking of but it isn't Kilian. He summited Everest twice without Oxygen and he isn't a thru hiker.

The question is whether Journet can run a 4:35 mile. That's what Cain's most recent result of 9:07 in the 3000 back in Feb 2020 converts to. I seriously doubt he can run the mile that fast, but do think he could probably dip under 5 min.
About right, although Cain is in 4:35 shape right now based on her recent 9:07 3000m, so even more likely to smoke him.

Wait, what? You think Bolt can run a 4:20 mile at his best (that was what Cain was at when she was at her best). Or do you think Bolt can run a sub 4:35 (What Cain can run right now if she stepped on the track today)? I think you're nuts to think Bolt could beat Cain in a mile. He might be able to hang on to beat her in a 1k but would die at any greater distance than that.
