I don't get the Killian bashing. Dude is super nice and does a lot of cool social media short videos with Solomon.
Not bashing Killian at all. The simple fact is that even though he is a runner, he is also the only one of these who we know for sure will never run a track or road race because he is scared of the competition or can only train on a track but can't race on one, or for whatever other reason. We know for a fact that Mary Cain has run a mile faster than 4:25 and a 1:59 800. Killian never has run times anywhere close to those and I'm saying that Mary Cain would smoke him in a mile race if he was ever brave enough to line up. Killian might be the coolest dude alive but he can't beat Mary Cain in a mile race.

Is there any particular reason why every poster is spelling his name wrong?

That's just dumb. If he doesn't want to race on the track, that's entirely his business. What you're getting at is that YOU are mad that he doesn't do so, because YOU'd like to see what he could do. But after all the actual accomplishments Jornet has, to say he's not "brave enough" to line up for a track mile is silly. I mean, I've personally run the mile plenty of times myself, and I don't consider myself remarkably brave. Most of the people I ran against didn't seem that brave, either.
Plus, you're giving all those non-runners more credit as runners than Jornet, based on absolutely no evidence at all, and then you say "not bashing Killian at all". Yeah right.
And furthermore, if the guy can do 3 x 5k in around 15 minutes or below, why would you assume he can't run a mile on the track?
I'm not assuming that he isn't capable of running a mile on a track, most grannies could manage that, just that he would never do it because he's afraid of the results. Not brave enough to even try. There is zero evidence that he has ever run a single 5k in around 15 minutes - you can look forever to not-find that non-existent result.
Self reported estimates of times over an estimated distance for a rumored workout don't count for very much. Kilian has never run a track or road race.
I don't care if he is too scared to race on a track or road, that's his business. I'm giving more credit to all the other athletes because I'm pretty sure that even though they have massive egos, they would probably be willing to race out of their comfort zones. Out of all those non-runners and Kilian, it is certain for sure that Kilian is the only one who wouldn't at least try to run a mile race. Even Rupp has done races that weren't "Rupp Certified"; 800, XC, marathon. We should now call the vast, vast majority of all races at all distances "Non Kilian Certified." I'd like to hear about one single pretty good runner ever besides Kilian who has never run a track or road race. I don't think that he wouldn't run because Mary Cain is a lot faster than he, but because there's a lot of risk in him putting down legitimate times and taking the chance of disillusioning some of his more fickle fans.
Dude, Killian ran a 4:10 mile in training a couple days ago. There's even a thread on it.
Also, I did say that if by some miracle the runner Kilian actually ran the race, he would only be beaten by Mary Cain, and only by a few seconds because she is more savvy and a lot faster kicker than he. So I'm giving him credit for being pretty fit.

Sorry, he didn't run 4:10, I misread the thread:
https://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=10024050He did 10x400 in 60-62 with 60 rest. I think he could beat Cain pretty easily and crush the others of course.

I know, I saw that he allegedly did some 400s in the mid 60s and that somehow morphed into a 4:10 mile. I guess those sub 60 quarters we did in high school made us sub4 by a lot; people need to recognize and worship!!
Mary Cain has run sub2 for 800. Kilian ain't touching that.
I don't think it's out of the question to claim that 10x400 in 60-62 with 60s rest indicates around 4:10 fitness.
He could be Cain at the very least.

He can't beat Cain or any of the others because he would never run a measured timed race.
gotta play to win
The premise of this post is assuming that he would show up and compete.
If we're being this pedantic then there's no way this race would ever happen for obvious reasons.

A ton of difference between 60-62 and the 62-64 that he claims. Is 10x63 good enough for a 4:10? Did he do one 62.9 and nine 64.9s? Did he use an alarm clock to time them? Any witnesses? That's the problem with claiming someone can do something and them actually doing it. And in Kilian's case, we'll never know for sure if he's a 3 minute miler or a 1 hour marathoner because this runner don't race.

Exactly. It is a thought exercise presented to a mostly non-thinking masters-of-the-literal audience. But the premise is that he would never show up and compete, but the others could possibly.
phelps is definitley in the low 5s if not under 5. serena maybe 10 minutes, being obese doesn't help running

If the premise is that he wouldn't show up what is the point of including him? This is just dumb. Since this is just a made up fantasy, either assume he will race or leave him out.

^^^
Since this is a hypothetical thought exercise it only makes sense to assume everyone in the title shows up and runs in the shape they are in (or we believe they are in) now. Given those parameters I think it will be:
Jornet
Cain
<Big Gap>
Phelps
Bolt
James
<Big Gap>
<Big Gap>
<Big Gap>
Williams
