"The only way to reopen and stay open: distance, wear masks, and get the public health right: test, isolate, trace, quarantine. Many other countries have been doing this." - Dr. Tom Frieden
3500 more positive tests reported today. 22 deaths.
As I said before, we are seeing the 7-day average bump in deaths now.

Where?
https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/united-states?country=~USA35% of today's reported cases are from 18-29 age group. 9% of hospitalizations from that age group.
Source?
"Most common place to catch Covid: home"
According to the AJC:
Amid Georgia’s new surge in coronavirus cases, the increased demand for testing is straining the state’s infrastructure, leading to longer waits in some places and complaints from residents of delayed results.
Plus, many of the government testing sites are shutting down Friday to Sunday.
PLEASE DON'T GET A TEST UNLESS YOU REALLY THINK YOU MIGHT HAVE COVID!!!
Save the testing resources for people who need it.
Also from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution:
For whatever reason, the Trumpers on this thread don't want people to get tested. smh
Wear a mask
Social distance
Wash your hands
GET TESTED
New strain is much more easily spread - up to 10x more infectious.
Some bad news today - AZ, FL, TX each hit a new high in the 7 day average of daily deaths. The absolute numbers are still low, but the way this disease works is a long grind once a trend starts.
That said, the US had its second lowest number of the downside of the slope yesterday. So that's good.
The world hit a new cyclical low.
I have to expect, given the very high case counts in those very populous, urban states, that the good news on deaths is probably over in this country, and we'll start climbing up a new grim curve. Maybe July 2 was the start of it.
Clearly the rush to force mask usage in red states suggests health officials are screaming at Republican governors that their states are in big trouble.

Oh good.
Is this the legendary second wave that somehow everyone agrees is coming although they can't tell us why and the first one never seems to go away?
Trumpsters are winning again

Some folks thing everything is about Trump.
Obsessive
That’s interesting. I live close to her. I’ve been tested several times and never had an issue. Scheduled an appt this Wednesday. Got an appt for Thursday. Got my results (negative!) 40 minutes later.

Others think everything is about the J*ws.
Don't worry, Giles. Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean THEY aren't out to get you.

That's interesting too. I have a few questions if you don't mind.
Do you know what kind of test it was? (Abbot ID or other rapid test?)
Why did you decide to get tested?
Are you ever near others in enclosed spaces?
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
