Sheez...running that in a TT puts him ahead of everyone except Ryun and Webb, IMO. There could be 4-5 kids right now who can go sub-4 in a good race.
Just watched. He was paced until 200 to go. One guy paced him laps 1 and 3, another guy paced lap 2 and half of lap 4. Still impressive.
I'm impressed. Even more, I love the initiative, given the lack of a track season.
Probably made up the time to try to sell supplements for his nutrition company.

heckuva run, but hand times are bullshit
I have to agree. Don't get me wrong heck of a run yes.
I just don't get the last 200m video only. If you're going to run a fast time a post it. Show a full video it's only 4 min. Someone has to have the full video if he ran 4min
Yeah, I'm sure the hand time results of his TT are off by several seconds...insert major sarcasm here and that you are a dumb dumb;)

Most high schools run the 1600m - which can lead to people mistakenly referring to 1600m times as mile times, so calling a 1609m run a full mile eliminates this doubt.
It's a fact that a mile does not equal 1600 meters and calling a mile, a full mile, is not necessary.
I know that... but it's also a fact that many people mistakenly call a 1600m a mile, so calling a 1609.34..m run a full mile shows that the person is 100% referring to a mile time. It's not necessary but it can make things more clear.

True, but crowd noise, adrenaline, etc. matter more to us then we think they will.

For those with MileSplit accounts, the entire race video is here:

Very impressive. Huge congrats to Ryan. There was some breeze, as you can hear in its affect on the mike. You can see the wind's affects on some trees. However, it seems - I can only guess - that the breeze wasn't a horrible hindrance.
You don't need an account to see it.
Impressive. Where is this guy going to school in the Fall?

No account needed. If you don't see the video you are probably missing a browser plugin or something.

That is not the main milesplit site, moran should have posted that it was tx.milesplit. I called him out and got the link put up. Done and done.
No, you must be a simpleton. I got the link I posted from the main milesplit page, where it still is.
