Russia has spent like $250-$300 million in failed missile attacks in two days. And over those past twenty years, the US has always been able to achieve it's military objectives rather quickly while suffering minimal casualties. It's been the following occupations with grandiose plans of nation building that have been problematic. Russia can't even achieve the initial military victory and is suffering casualties in the hundreds of thousands.
There is no way to sugar coat Russia's military failures or the vast disparity in capabilities of them compared to the US military.
