In FloTrack's article on NCC says, "three of them are juniors, meaning they'll probably win again next year too."
It's Sept. and not only is NCC a shoo-in for DIII champs this year, but next year too?? F#CK THAT. I don't even care who does it, but please someone beat them at Nationals so FloTrack can take NCC's d!ck out of their mouth.

Is it overachieving, or just achieving? They don't lack talent; therefore just achieving. Lacrosse ran poorly but I don't believe anyone else in the top 5 talk going in ran poorly at Nationals last year. North Central was good on that day but had proven to be that good at earlier meets last year: Oshkosh, Conference, Regionals. 4 All Americans was not a surprise. 5-6 ran pretty well that day but we knew they were good too.

Dennis Young, the flotrack writer was a d3 guy from Dickinson. Was it bold? Yes. Why bash NCC for it though? If your school did what they did the year before and returned as many as they do wouldn't you expect to repeat?

How do you expect schools to get recruits and even compete when one of the biggest companies in running is saying that North Central has no chance of ever losing? If I'm a recruit and see that article then you sure as hell believe I'm either going to North Central or not running cause I definitely ain't going to school when my team apparently has no shot.

If 1 slightly bold Flotrack article causes irreparable harm to your XC program, it probably should be disbanded anyway.

Can you blame them? What about the article is unrealistic or unreasonable? NCC dominated nationals last year, return 4 of the 7 (including 3 of the top 8 returnees) and add other random guys like Norvell (30:10) and McKenna (14:22) to the mix. Clearly, with Carius being there for 60 years or whatever, they have a very strong culture and that's why they get their results. If you're another D3 team, it should be motivation to train harder to beat them.
Injuries and crazy things happen- no one would have guessed Ches would've lost at D1 nats last year. The season isn't just over- but with running, year round work is a good indication of success and clearly the model NCC uses works. If I was a coach of a D3 team that wants to be competitive, I would post that article in my locker room and use it as motivation for us to get better, to want to be on that level.
