Here are a couple of links as you requested. Since there is so much misinformation going on about the LDS church, you might as well go straight to the church's websites to see what they say they believe.

The video on Rob Morris who played football at BYU and for the Colts at the

site was interesting.
I was an athlete and All-American at BYU and my own experience was that the vast majority of students and athletes at BYU live the honor code, I lived in 3 or 4 different apartments over the 4 years of my schooling and I don't think I had one roommate in that time that wasn't living the code. At BYU it isn't that hard to abide the honor code because pretty much everybody else has similar values regarding not drinking, smoking, doing drugs or having premarital sex. That is not to say that there isn't a lot of social interaction and dating going on, it's just that most BYU students don't take it any further than kissing.
There was an article in USA Today today stating that 27% of men and 29% of women age 15-24 in America say they have never had a sexual encounter, up from only 22% back in 2002. So it's not just the Mormons that are realizing there are positive consequences to living a chaste life.
I also take exception with anyone who says the LDS faith in any way discounts women. Nothing is further than the truth. The LDS church has one of the largest women's organizations on the planet. Women are taught at an early age the value of education and that they are a precious child of God and are valued for their intellect, spirit and internal beauty, unlike America media and many letsrun posters who continually objectify women. Many women choose to stay at home to help raise the family because Mormons believe that no other success can compensate for failure in the home, I married a well educated LDS woman with a PhD who put her career on hold when we started our family, not because I wanted her to, but because she wanted to be there for the kids.
Finally, I would say if you want to know what goes on in the LDS religion, what we are like and what we believe, take a three hour block out of your life and go to church some Sunday. Any interest we have in proselyting you comes from the fact that most Mormons are happy with their life and think others would benefit from the same lifestyle. If a Mormon wants to share with you their beliefs, take it as a compliment.
