New Balance Pvsle was great. Got myself 4 pairs off Joe's New Balance. Have the feel of the old 1400s. Hoping that shoe isn't discontinued but I don't see it on the New Balance site...
You might like some of the Chinese brands for comfort. Alternatively, the Reebok float ride run fast pro if you want to be a total weight weenie. It has no plate and very little cushioning, and is basically weightless.

Thanks for this review. I'm looking for something to replace the discontinued Saucony Sinister. The puma liberate nitro didn't cut it.
It exists. It's the Topo Fli-Lyte 6 (23-20) and if you want to go back to the days of the Nike Freez there's the Topo ST-5, which is 14mm zero drop shoe. You may also still be able to find an Asics Hyperspeed around.
I didn't buy or actually run in them, but the ST-5 felt great trying on in the store.
Not totally minimal, but I got the NB Pvlse discounted at about $50. I think it's a 2mm drop and quite low stack.

Looks like its been about a year since I've posted. I'm down to my last 3 pairs of streak lt 4s. I expect by the end of summer, they'll be done. I've done a few runs in the mizuno duel sonic 4 - but its just not the same, it doesn't have the pop the streak lt has, I guess. I've been wearing this shoe for almost all training since 2019, and I'm honestly kind of scared to switch shoes, but I guess I'm going to have no choice very soon.
I want to try the Joma 4000 if it ever comes back in stock, but its being marketed as a racewalk shoe, s who knows if its decent for running.
Brooks recently released the Hyperion and Hyperion GTS that reminds me a lot of an old school flat. I am in the same boat as you looking hard to find the old school traditional flat to run in.
but a major overhaul of the hyperion tempo. Why can't they release the Hyperion 3 but still maintain the qualities of the Hyperion Tempo???
