just wondering why they highered a sprint coach to coach the jumps.

The fact that he has not coached that long and has a sprints background with no real coaching his own jumpers resume. Also not completely sure. But why do the pole vaulters get the short end of the stick because that position has been a minority position? They have a very good PV athlete coming there as a freshman. If i were her i would be upset. When i know there were some very good coaches that applied.

They would have put you on the payroll, but you couldn't spell "hired" correctly. Evidently, sprint coaches can spell. LOL.
Good one. ;)
He has coached the jumps. Do your research.

I know its just a measly D III coaching job but any coaching job is good job so why has the EMU (Eastern Mennonite) job been unfilled for the last 9 months ? Why did the last coach leave after less then a year ? Is it that bad ?
any insight on either the purdue or MSU job? Are both already basically figured out?
msu filled by former purdue lady.
would like to hear if anyone has info on the purdue job.
Any 30 year olds on the UNM X-C roster this season?

Oh we can only hope so!!!
Not hiring. None of the female applicants were as qualified as Warner, so he's coaching the women this year. He'll be looking to hire a pole vault coach for next spring.
Did I miss something....or was the former Purdue female coach more qualified then Warner??

ya... what are you sayin really? So he won't hire another distance coach?
This thread is about to die...but there are still a few jobs open....
please don't let this thread die... I still have no job... please let there be an opening somewhere
If Purdue DOES hire a new coach, which appears unlikely at this point, they probably won't be qualified to coach. They will be qualified to be a manager/executive assistant/director of operations/gopher. That's what the last won was anyway, no reason to think this one would be any different. If a hire were to occur, it would probably be someone right out of college...too much experience would get Warner and Holt ticked off!
What is Brown doing with their sprint/hurdles position?
Warner has certainly gone through some staff and not in the good way of coaches moving on the seemingly better positions; instead, people have left for MAC jobs or out of sport altogether. How such a bad leader? Surprised school allows the turnover while struggling to have even a middle of road program.
What's going on at UVA???
Nicholls State's "distance" hire.
