You are correct, Brad is at Wake Forest and his wife is due to give birth any day now.
By the way, Erin Rodrigs from the University of Arizona reportedly turned down the coaching offer from UVA...
I can imagine that coaching with Vigilante in the same event group might be kind of tough....especially if you want to write training plans for the athletes.....Perhaps I'm way off base in that assessment....Seems like you end up as the recruiting coordinator, van driver, paper work guy, etc....Not that doing all those things is not important for a program.
Wouldn't he let a competent hire coach/recruit the women though? That seems like the logical thing to do so he can focus on the men.

Can anyone on this board name a successful head coach at a Division 1 school that didn't have an ego?
Perhaps if an assistant had been there for a number of years (like Laurie Gomez Henes at NC State) then the head coach would let that assistant take over and manage the coaching of the athletes.
An assistant in the same event group might be thrown a bone and coach some lesser athletes but otherwise have fun with the recruiting of 16 and 17 year olds and administering the workouts the head coach develops.
unc hired Davian Clarke, former miami and jamician 400 standout. I know he was on staff at auburn when watson was there. Just shows it is who you know not how much coaching experience you have.
At least at UNC it is....
Hunt in at Wake Forest is great news for that program. The power behind the throne for the last two head coaches at UVA ... I'm sure those guys are sad to see him go.
"the power behind the throne"?????
Purdue?
UVA?
Syracuse?
You heard me.
bumppppp
Harvard did not hire a multis coach. Their multis guy was made full time. They had to post it even though they were just upgrading him from part time to full time.
Who'd they hire as the sprints coach?
Yes I did, hence the response.

Brown jumps and Browns distance job?
anyone know if Nicholls State ever hired an xc/distance coach? Job was posted in early July and seems like they still haven't hired anyone
They interviewed 2 people last week...1 guy and 1 girl...not with a distance background either...
What is happening here?
Policy posting. Already being filled by Lisa Senakiewich, who left Purdue for her alma mater.
WTF. No disrespect intended but here is another example of an individual with no/limited credentials getting a job over much more highly qualified coaches. This is NOT good for the overall health of the sport.
