Sorry,
Sounds like you know nothing about the income sucking college sports like track or all of high school sports. Limited recruiting money, limited rosters, no scholarships, limited travel money. How do you guys think these sports run? VOLUNTEERS at meets, EX-ATHLETES, ALUMNI, people that like you and yet hardly know you. If Dellinger had ever wanted, he could have contacted a coaching contact in Kenya and brought in tons of Kenyan studs but he wanted to limit the number of non-American athletes because he wanted to support American athletes. Do you ever wonder why Dellinger is a millionaire? Coaches wanted to buy his tapes and get their athletes to buy them. He was probably given Nike stock. People would do anything for him. So many people offered their services for NOTHING because they wanted to support the program and therefore HIM. The program makes you, and unless you are John McDonnell or Vin Lananna, you don't make the program. You enhance the program, it enhances you. Smith didn't get that, now he is gone.
