And yes if you lowered the mileage you be able to run it a lot faster. Or at least that is the case with me. When I started getting my mileage in this range, I was going a lot slower.
Nice job on the workout today! That's a pretty solid negative split. What did you run your last mile in? Was it a 5:20 or was it faster? And that's a very solid workout if you are in control.
splits were 5:39, 5:50.5, 5:18, 5:22. miles 1 and 4 are basically flat, miles 2 and 3 are hillier. the 5:18 was definitely tough
none of my tempos are ever flat, so idk how much it makes a difference. i'm sure i'd have been around 21:50 on a flatter route with no wind
