Went to look at the Bix 7 race to see how Meb did and saw alot of familiar faces in the results. Mostly alot of NCC guys in it along with a few Augustana alumni and such. Kind of impressed that I saw how fast Josh Ferguson from Calvin ran. He could be a solid 2-3 guy for them this upcoming year. I don't know how stacked their team is, but considering how hilly the course is 37:08 is a solid time.
"Hilly" - not by NE/NESCAC standards. Still, decent times.
Ferguson is, what a 4:00/15:30 guy? Every top team has 10 of him.

The saving grace is that the "8k course" will also be 7500m, so I wouldn't be so concerned.

Look out for Williams coming back this year. They have Colin Cotton returning who ran 24:19 and sub 30 in the 10k at Cincinnati. That leaves them with previous all american Chris Lee, Cole Townsend: 9:03 two miler, and a handful of sub 9:20 recruits.

i'd say probably in about 2 weeks or maybe just a little less. they usually come out like a week or so before the first week of meets.

If Cotton really is coming back (I've heard this rumor before) they should be a lock for NCAA qualification. Maybe even a top-10 finish.

It seems to me that last year was soooo wide open with only 23 points seperating 1st through 4th place that this thing is still up for grabs. I'll concede the favorite to NCC, but think that Haverford (podium finishes last 3 years), all the Wisconsons, Washington and even Calvin have a shot at this. Avoiding injury and fresh legs 11/23 will be key.

I know you're just an assclown trolling hardcore, but there's some truth to your post. The WIAC schools, North Central's, Calvin's, etc. are good because their academics are downright laughable. They're essentially professional runners with no other real commitments. That's why it's so incredible to see schools like Wash U, Emory, Williams, Hopkins, Haverford, etc. do so well year after year.

Come on, Nick Kramer ran this course in 35:00 as a rising junior. Mike Spain was right around there too. Is 37:08 even indicative of all-American potential?
