I never, nor do I believe anyone else has argued that the mile all-time list is deeper than the 1500 list. What you did say was that:

Scott's AR is soft.
What's important is that the actual value of his AR is not nearly world elite, and arguably not even world class. I'd like to think that ARs should be better than top-50 all time, and I think that performances outside of this are soft.
