4 Years is a long time in politics, don't be too cocky about how easy it is to come back. 4 years ago after Jan6 pundits were saying that Republicans would be a minority party for a generation.
Records don't matter. Even if Newsom is a bad California governor, it won't matter. People vote on how someone makes them feel, and he "looks like a President," so a lot of people will vote for him. If he were that unpopular, then CA would have tossed him aside.
He looks like a sleazy used car salesman and he has a track record of failure and hypocrisy.
He's not even popular in his own state.
Plus he's a white male.
