Fat doesn’t realize that warnock and Ossoff won in Georgia because republican voters didn’t go vote in the run off. Part of the blame for that falls on trump and the Georgia Republican Party leader for sowing doubt in the electoral process. Yeah, but Biden reclassified all the declassified documents before Trump even got to the airport. At that point, Trump couldn't re-declassify because technically he had no authority. Trump was just a common schmuck at that point. Don't get me wrong, he was a very rich and powerful common schmuck. But as far as re-declassifying goes, he was just a common schmuck, no different than you.

However, ih8joe forgets that some categories of classified documents cannot be unilaterally declassified by the President, and the inventory indicates that some of the recovered documents may fall into that category.
And as is typical with Trump, his handling of the matter may support a separate obstruction charge regardless of the status of the documents. One thing that Trump has never been able to do is stand to the side and let lawyers do their lawyer thing to reduce risks to their client. That is one of the reasons that many of the top law firms, even the ones with Republicans in management, decline to work for Trump. His nonpayment practices, of course, are another.

I get all that, but at the end of the day, there are still responsible govt. agencies doing there jobs, and those that transgress will have to answer to them, regardless. I take some comfort in that fact, and perhaps a calamity has been averted, and perhaps justice may be served. Clearly, that is the larger story here.
