Could civilian gun owners defeat the US military?

We have the most heavily armed citizens in the world. The military would only have the upper hand if it decided to abandon the Geneva convention.

There are a number of assumptions being made

1. All the "freedom fighters" would be on the same page, with the same goals. This is very unlikely. Resistance would be pockets of individuals with their own agendas.

2. Communication and finances would be intact. Again, very unlikely.

3. The changes being fought against would be sudden. Also, very unlikely. Local police forces are now like armies. They have APCs, SWAT gear for towns of 50k, etc. this has occurred over 30 years. The militarization of government responses to trifling incidents is well documented.

The only way US civilians could defeat USG would be if they had a plan well in advance, and were ready to commandeer civilian resources in their fight. As this group vaguely claims to love the US constitution, this would probably be a violation of the 3rd and 4th amendments, or really just outright theft.

The majority of the US population would see this group for what it is (and what they are now) - a self-absorbed paranoid delusional group of attention seeking children who have no problem using violence to get what they (think) they want.
