This is a great thread. Lots of good points on both sides. Count me in the camp that the Mammoth group has been more bad than good performances (I don't count Meb as he is coached by Larsen). I hope that all can move on from this and get better.
A nice little factoid of sorts: Kevin Hanson is married to a former college (or is it HS?) athlete of his.

I know they said she'll be in "talks" with Keith/Kevin Hanson. I feel like her greatest resource would be Desiree, though. I would suspect she's taking time off of running/racing for a bit so is going to take as much time as she needs to figure out the best fit. I hope she recognizes Hansons are going to be as stringent, if not more so, than Terrance.
How long can 'talks' take? I would have thought if there had already been contact over a week ago that something would have been decided by now.
I would bet that her demands are way out of line with the Hansons are capable of meeting. She is now an Olympian and I am not sure that Detroit is prepared to handle another huge ego to go along with Davila. Hastings is pretty high maintenance.

I can show you an entire team that would not agree with you. Since Mahon was the problem, show me one teammate that backs Amy other than Alistair. Amy is way too selfish to survive in a team. The sweet stupid act gets old real fast.
Well since you proclaim to know the group so well why don't you shed some light on the reasons why all these athletes have left?
I have a hard time believing Hastings is 'high maintenance' or at least that shes more difficult than any other professional athlete

So, that leaves just the elderly members of the team .. hmmmmmmmmmm - do I detect jealousy in the High Sierras? One can't just "go to the Olympics" every 4 years ...one has to EARN the trip.

The article on RW has Hansons saying they havent offered anything to her yet. Doesn't sound like theres pressure coming from Brooks for them to take her on?

What does this assessment mean? Either someone is of similar caliber, and therefore a good training partner, or there is a discrepancy, in which case one partner is always either under or overtraining.
Add one vote to high maintenance for Hastings. Not judging, just saying.
