As for the other guy, yes, losing your cool and flipping the bird is an accurate reflection of your character. Your wife and cats just don't hit your trigger points like strangers who've really done nothing to you do. You wouldn't do anything that you don't have in you, so it's always fully in context.

No, it's not "like" an excuse at all. He's saying he should have done better. Pretty much what everyone else is saying. So you think being critical of himself like that is being arrogant?
